About the work

Created for Nicola Wills's choreography at Origen Festival in Switzerland, Fiction explores the darker psychological side of familiar fairy tales. Moving between childhood fantasy and adult fears, the characters shift between victim and villain, blurring the distinction between good and evil.

The music combines strings, voice, organ, accordion, synthesizer and sound design to create an unsettling, surreal atmosphere. Music and movement work together to explore the stories we grow up with and their underlying themes of fear, violence and morality.
