About the work
Something Completely Different is a dance-theatre work created by John-William Watson for English National Ballet's youth company, ENBYouthCo. Set in the aftermath of a television talk show, the production explores the absurd and unpredictable through a combination of dance, comedy and theatrical performance.
The choreography plays with the conventions of theatre, breaking the fourth wall and drawing the audience into an increasingly eccentric world.
The original music was composed for clarinet and percussion, with an alternative version for solo clarinet.
