About the work
Walk on By is a contemporary ballet created by Nicola Wills for the National Ballet of Albania, with original music by Adam Vincent Clarke.
The work explores the individual within a constantly moving collective, examining themes of isolation, transition and transformation. Through abstract choreography, it considers the relationship between personal experience and communal life, and the moments of solitude that exist even when surrounded by others.
The production premiered at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Tirana in July 2025.
